I started 14 years ago in stores.  After a year I moved to making magnets and learned to weld.  I’ve got a talent for welding so I moved to welding seasoning drums, then I learned to be a fabricator. Now I’m in charge of the brake press department.

What do you like about KMG

Opportunities to progress and learn. I feel proud that the drums that I weld are used in snacks seasoning systems all over the world.

I joined 25 years ago as a development engineer and my skills and assiduity were recognised by the wider business. Over the years I have progressed from project engineer, to project manager, and now I’m regional engineering manager.

What do you like about KMG

Lots of autonomy.  I want to deliver a perfect project from design through build, automation software to commissioning.  It’s an interesting place to work and I enjoy working with customers and colleagues alike. I believe in the strict adherence to standards, but KMG provides the space for creativity to ensure the best of all possible outcome for projects.

I joined 12 years ago as a design engineer, progressed to lead design engineer and now I’m the Design Office manager for Gamlingay

What do you like about KMG

We all do it for the crisps!  KMG treats staff well and there is room for job progression, good support throughout the business from directors to fabricators.  There is still a family feel to working here, I feel like more than just a number.  The biggest thing for me is the satisfaction gained from designing various scales of projects from one off machines to bigger bespoke projects eg,  snack food accumulation systems or oil spray systems to meet the customers’ needs.
